Your Child’s Learning Journey

Your Child

At Grange Montessori Nursery the Child comes first. Our aim is to ensure that the children in our care are happy and content.

we believe this is achieved through a daily routine that provides structure and diversity to their day. This regular consistency instills trust; the children recognise the order of events in their day and take comfort knowing their meal and sleep times.

Each child has a daily dairy that documents the activities they have been involved in and what foods they ate. For the smaller children we also record sleep times, nappy changes and liquid intake.

Routines remain flexible to accommodate a child’s varying individual needs. Sleep and mealtimes always reflect the needs of the child and wishes of the parent. The structure of the day will allow the children to access a variety of different activities which are indoor or out in the fresh air.

Your Child's Path Through Discovery

Montessori education unfolds across four distinct developmental planes, each with its own character and needs. We walk alongside your child through each of them — not pushing, but preparing the path for their natural unfolding.

01 0–3 YEARS

The Absorbent Mind

In the earliest years, your child absorbs language, movement, and social cues effortlessly from their environment. Our Nido and toddler spaces are crafted to honour this extraordinary capacity.

02 3–6 YEARS

Sensitive Periods

Children pass through windows of heightened sensitivity for order, language, and sensory refinement. Our guides observe carefully and offer precise, beautiful materials at exactly the right moment.

03 6–9 YEARS

The Reasoning Mind

Abstract thought begins to take root. Children explore the cosmos, human history, and mathematical laws with awe — building a framework of knowledge that is genuinely their own.

04 9–12 YEARS

Growing Independence

Older children develop confidence, responsibility, and a stronger sense of self through collaborative projects, leadership opportunities, and real-world experiences.

Positive Learning Environment

Our classrooms are spaces of profound calm, meticulously curated to facilitate independent exploration. Using a palette of Primary Sage, Secondary Beige, and natural wood, we eliminate overstimulation to allow focus to flourish.
